Five Things I’m Looking Forward To Next Week

  1. Beginning of the school year, once again. Just got his schedule and he’ll be an EARLY (say, 6:30 AM way too bleeping early) pickup. However, he’s going back to a routine and teachers that know his needs. Not that his aftercare is good (it’s FAB really and I can’t ask for a better place) – but there is something to be said for the personalized attention from his teachers, OT, SLP, etc…
  2. I will have more time to get ready in the morning and not worry about what B will get himself into.
  3. I might be able to leave the house with dry hair. And an outfit that isn’t wrinkled too much.
  4. I may actually get to work on time…thank goodness I’m so efficient with work.
  5. Getting ready to go on VACATION. Well, if the house we rented is still standing after Hurricane Irene pounds the East Coast.

About OneLoCoMommy

I live in Northern Virginia and and I look like the stereotypical suburban mom, for better or for worse. My son plays baseball and takes karate (albeit adaptive). My daughter is a gymnastics diva but rolls with the boys in T-ball. I've been a Room Mom and Playdate Coordinator. I work full-time, try to work out, and love my Book Club. However, I also blog on my experiences on our ASD, SPD and ADHD journey while trying to be a better parent advocate. All in a life's work.

Sounds like a great week coming up!

Thank goodness for school and more routine. Will be very helpful in our house as well.
